About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation network. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a High-Performing Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of logistics professionals to ensure that our operations are running efficiently and effectively.
  2. Drive Process Improvements: You will analyze and implement changes to improve quality and productivity, and oversee projects to streamline processes and increase quality of service.
  3. Collaborate with Colleagues: You will work closely with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive operational excellence.
  4. Manage Shift Performance: You will analyze shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, ensuring that it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.

About the Team

Amazon's Transportation Service (ATS) team is a diverse and dynamic group that plays a critical role in our success. As part of ATS, you will be working with a team that uses air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, to ensure that our transportation runs at maximum efficiency.

Requirements
  1. Education: A degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience: Relevant experience in people management, communication with stakeholders, and using data to influence business decisions.
  3. Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language, and experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
