Job Title: Director of Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our Configuration Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing configuration management and release activities for our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Management: Develop and maintain configuration management plans, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient release of software products.
  • Release Management: Oversee the release of software products to internal and external customers, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coach a team of engineers to ensure effective configuration management and release activities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify configuration management and reporting requirements, ensuring these are captured in plans and processes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve configuration management and release processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree qualified in a technology, engineering, or science-related discipline.
  • Professional Certifications: Registered as CEng or demonstrate eligibility and commitment to register for CEng within 12 months of appointment.
  • Experience: Proven experience in configuration and release management in a regulated industry, such as defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, nuclear, or automotive.
  • Skills: CM2 certified and proficient in configuration management and release processes.
