Freelance Site Engineer Opportunity

Aqua-Tech Recruitment is seeking a skilled Freelance Site Engineer to join a leading groundworks contractor in the Central Belt. This long-term contract offers a competitive hourly rate of £28 and flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
  • Conduct site surveys, setting out, and leveling to ensure project progress.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to senior management.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Site Engineer role, ideally within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and health & safety regulations.
  • Valid CSCS card and full UK driving license.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience setting out for residential projects and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
