Civils Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to join our team at Circet UK. As a key member of our infrastructure build and maintenance contracts team, you will be responsible for overseeing Civils and Cabling activities across Central Scotland, Fife, Edinburgh & Angus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct joint site meetings with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Survey and mark up existing services within work areas to ensure accurate planning.
  • Identify and update job notes for DFEs (Design for Excellence) as required.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the office and Project Manager on project progress.
  • Conduct daily toolbox audits and safety audits with direct staff to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Perform Safe to Start audits before commencing work on site.
  • Conduct in-progress audits and coach operatives on site to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct gate checks on gangs as they leave the yard to ensure a safe and efficient departure.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the SROH (Site Risk and Opportunity Handbook).
  • NRSWA accreditation to Supervisor level.
  • In-depth knowledge of the telecoms/civils industry.
  • Excellent IT skills to liaise with group works control.
  • Understanding of permit to work schemes and noticing.
  • Proven communication skills and ability to prioritize works effectively.
  • Comfortable working to tight timescales and deadlines.
  • Experience dealing with external stakeholders and communicating effectively.
  • Ability to implement, follow, and amend procedures for service delivery as dictated by the client.
