We are seeking a highly motivated medical statistician to join our established multi-disciplinary team at the University of Oxford, led by Professor Jemma Hopewell.
The team focuses on research into cardiovascular precision medicine by capitalising on large-scale data to identify the causes, consequences and treatments for coronary disease, stroke and arrhythmias.
The post holder will work on cutting-edge population health research using large-scale -omics and multi-modal data from randomized and observational studies.
This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your statistical and -omics expertise and contribute to high impact cardiovascular research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement statistical analysis plans for large-scale data sets
- Analyse and interpret complex data to inform research findings
- Develop and maintain databases and data management systems
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to identify research priorities and develop study designs
- Communicate research findings through reports, presentations and publications
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in statistics/mathematics/data science or closely related highly quantitative subject
- Excellent understanding of medical statistics and practical experience analysing big data
- Demonstrated programming skills and experience with data analysis software
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
This is a full-time (part-time considered) fixed-term position until 30 September 2025.
