Job Title: Processing Operative

ASD, a leading metal stockholder and processing supplier in the UK, is seeking a skilled Processing Operative to join our team at our site in Kidderminster.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced individual to operate heavy machinery, including decoiling and slitting machines, fork-lift trucks, and overhead cranes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of thousands of tonnes of steel each week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the Bud Profiling Line or other scheduled activities, such as machine operation, loading, basic maintenance, TPM, 5S, or other duties as directed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience operating profiling machines, plasma profilers, press brakes, CNC machines, or similar equipment, preferably in a manufacturing, steel environment, warehousing, or distribution setting. You will also need to demonstrate a strong passion for health and safety and a commitment to continually improving our site.
