The Opportunity

As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and driving business results in one of our stores. You will achieve this by building a team that is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

The Key Responsibilities

Operations:

  • Develop and implement store operations strategies to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Lead the planning and execution of store workload to ensure a productive and efficient team
  • Make informed decisions and delegate tasks effectively to the team
  • Ensure compliance with company processes and procedures while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for customers and employees
  • Provide training and coaching to the team to ensure best practices are followed
  • Use business communication tools to monitor task completion and meet deadlines

Controls:

  • Use reports to ensure wage controls are met on a weekly basis and resolve any issues promptly
  • Plan store schedules in line with trading patterns and business expectations
  • Assist with payroll processing and problem-solving
  • Support the implementation of store daily structures to ensure compliance, customer service, and security standards are met
  • Be accountable for controlling wages

Sales:

  • Understand business and customer expectations and motivate the team to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Understand product features and benefits and assist with training the team to maximize sales opportunities
  • Understand assigned KPI targets and support the team in tracking against these targets while communicating and motivating them
  • Understand the retail industry, business challenges, competitors, and customers with a strong commercial awareness
  • Use reports to analyze and support commerciality of key products to impact sales and profitability
  • Interpret merchandising guidelines to the sales floor with strong commerciality and efficiency

Development:

  • Assist with identifying internal talent and support performance management processes to drive exceptional performance
  • Support the identification of performance issues and escalate professionally
  • Be self-driven in personal development and take on developmental feedback constructively
  • Understand and promote Frasers Group core values and coach the team to engage with these values

Leadership and Management:

  • Inspire the team and act as a role model
  • Support coaching and motivating the team to achieve success
  • Develop relationships with the store team and ensure everyone is working towards the same goals
  • Work to build the success of the store as a whole

The Requirements

  • 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
  • Ability to positively impact results in sales, payroll, and stock loss
  • Proven record of developing talented individuals
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Commitment to supporting the area manager in achieving the highest store standards and customer service
