Hours per week: Minimum of 90 on-call hours per week

The Role:An on-call firefighter is a paid professional who responds to emergencies and engages with the community. They have everyday lives and jobs, but become professional firefighters when their pager sounds.
On-call firefighters are trained and experienced individuals who save lives and protect people and community assets. They receive thorough training and learn about emergency situations and additional personal skills.
On-call firefighters come from diverse backgrounds and are exceptional individuals who give their time to assist the fire and rescue service. They form close working relationships with the team and are involved in various situations, including community fire safety, flooding, and road accidents.
Requirements:
- Physical fitness is essential
- Ability to reach the fire station quickly and safely
- Enthusiasm and commitment to the role
