MRI Modality Lead

The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of MRI Modality Lead. This role is a key part of our radiology department, responsible for the organization, planning, management, and delivery of a comprehensive and effective MRI imaging service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the MRI service, including staff, waiting lists, and weekly reports/KPIs.
- Provide professional support for staff and contribute to the development of plans to improve patient care within current professional and legal standards, national and local policies.
- Monitor the effectiveness of departmental protocols and procedures, and initiate new protocols and procedures as necessary.
- Train and develop radiographers, student radiographers, and radiology clinical imaging assistants.
- Provide clinical and technical advice to other clinical staff and less experienced radiographers.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, showing empathy, compassion, and dignity towards service users.
- HCPC registration
- DCR/BSc in radiography
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Previous organizational experience
- Awareness of all legislation relevant to the post
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to pass on knowledge to others in a clear and concise way
- Empathic and able to deal sensitively with patients from all cultural backgrounds
- Possess an enquiring approach to work, be proactive in suggesting ways of working
- Able to work under pressure and to deal with stressful situations
