Financial Controller/Company Accountant

Our client, a leading business in the Construction & Manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join their team as a Financial Controller/Company Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious accountant with a strong manufacturing background to progress their career and work closely with a supportive CFO.
Key Responsibilities- Production of financial accounts and reports, ensuring robust and scalable finance systems and processes.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, regular group reports, and quarterly statutory consolidation.
- Review and understanding of monthly costs with site teams and the shared service department.
- Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and preparation of year-end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS).
- Compliance activities, including audit, tax, and statutory returns, as well as providing technical accounting guidance.
- Supporting the CFO in preparation of plans and forecasts, as well as ad hoc commercial projects.
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or late stages of qualification, with manufacturing or production accounting experience. Experience with Peoplesoft or Coins accounting packages and construction/engineering experience would be an advantage. You will be ambitious and resilient, with prior transactional staff management experience, ideally overseeing a team of 4 talented transactional staff.
What We Offer- Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience and qualification.
- 25 days + statutory holiday, plus 2 extra days at Christmas.
