Position Overview

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Practitioner to enhance our services aimed at assisting young individuals and their families dealing with eating disorders. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Our East CAMHS division provides comprehensive support to children, adolescents, and families, offering a wide array of early intervention and preventive services, as well as specialized care for various mental health needs.

The team comprises a diverse group of professionals, including Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Family Therapists, and Dietitians, all committed to delivering high-quality care.

This position will involve collaboration with clinicians who specialize in treating young people with anorexia nervosa and other eating disorders, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

Comprehensive training will be provided to equip the successful candidate with the necessary skills, along with ongoing supervision to support professional development.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this role; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to assist in delivering therapeutic services to young individuals and families engaged with our eating disorder program. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting home visits to provide direct support.
  • Implementing care plans to coach families and assist young people facing eating disorders.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss clinical cases and share insights.
  • Contributing to service evaluation and development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
