Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to lead our Early Years Pathway for children aged 0-7 and their families across Wrexham and Flintshire CAMHS. This is a full-time and permanent post.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Specialist Nursery Nurses, Specialist Health Visitors, CAMHS Practitioners, and Assistant Psychologists. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and families.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and experience of working with children and families. They will be able to demonstrate their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice, and maintaining high professional standards.
Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Principal Clinical Psychologist.

Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Specialist Nursery Nurses, Specialist Health Visitors, CAMHS Practitioners, and Assistant Psychologists.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and families.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to children and families.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- A postgraduate Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or for those trained overseas), as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, normally including significant post-qualification experience within the designated speciality where the post is located, or relevant transferable skills.
- Demonstration of further specialist training/experience through having received extensive and demonstrable clinical supervision of working as a clinical psychologist or an alternative agreed by the Head of Clinical Psychology Services.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
