The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve branch performance and profitability.
  • Manage and motivate a team of staff to achieve their objectives and contribute to the success of the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers to drive business growth.
  • Manage and administer client and insurer relationships to ensure timely and effective processing.
  • Provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
  • Organise and develop staff to fulfill branch and group objectives, ensuring effective communication and performance appraisal.
  • Manage employment, disciplinary, and health and safety issues to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of profitable general insurance business through designated insurer panels.
  • Ensure timely, compliant, and effective client and insurer administration and processing on core PIB systems.
  • Undertake general broking activities, including dealing with client queries and correspondence, new business, renewals, and adjustments.
  • Adhere to agreed policies and procedures as detailed in the Compliance Handbook.
  • Use all core PIB systems to ensure they are regularly updated for effective management information and reporting.
  • Liaise with finance, including credit control, to ensure all queries are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Attend company and/or branch meetings and events as required, including prescribed training.
