About The Role

EKFB is honored to have been selected by HS2 to execute civil engineering projects across an extensive 80km stretch of the new high-speed rail corridor.

We are looking to appoint a Site Manager in the Greatworth vicinity, possessing significant experience in structural projects. As a Site Manager, your responsibilities will include aiding in the construction strategy, which encompasses initial meetings, pre-start documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, construction schedules, procurement, and design deliverable timelines.

This role requires effective collaboration with the Sub Manager and Section Foreman to distribute labor, equipment, materials, and temporary structures to complete tasks to the necessary standards, timelines, and budget.

Additionally, you will oversee the site engineering team, ensuring the performance and growth of site and Section Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate construction operations, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining the required standards of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ).
  • Assist in generating schedules, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurements, material reconciliations, and cost management.
About The Candidate

  • HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Mandatory CSCS Requirement (one of the following): Black, White, White/Yellow, Yellow, or Red Experienced.
  • Mandatory SMSTS certification.
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience in Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in structural projects is essential.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
