Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take on a pivotal role as a Site Electrical Lead at our cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester. As a Site Electrical Lead, you will be responsible for the maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Planner and Supervisor to plan and coordinate all electrical engineering work across site
  • Support SAP with HV switching requirements and schedules
  • Contractor selection and management
  • Produce engineering documentation; permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation, and engineering drawings/manuals
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and auditing
  • Purchasing of electrical equipment; HV, LV, VSD, PLC
  • Route Cause Analysis, breakdown investigation, and improvement initiatives
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification
  • Solid understanding of electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools
  • HV Qualification AP15 advantageous – training can be provided
