Electrical Engineering Manager Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at Morgan Ryder. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance, service, repair, and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering plans and strategies to ensure operational excellence and safety.
  • Collaborate with the Support Planner and Supervisor to plan and coordinate all electrical engineering work across site.
  • Support SAP with HV switching requirements and schedules.
  • Manage contractors and ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations.
  • Produce engineering documentation, including permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation, and engineering drawings/manuals.
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and auditing.
  • Purchase electrical equipment, including HV, LV, VSD, and PLC.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical equipment breakdowns and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
  • HV Qualification AP15 advantageous – training can be provided.
