Human Resources Support Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Haematology and Stem Cells Institute professional services team as a Human Resources Support Officer.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support and a pro-active and responsive service to academic, research and professional staff, and visitors.
  • Work collaboratively with key university services including Payroll, Compliance, Occupational Health and the Clinical School HR Team.
  • Ensure all processes are followed and maintain a high level of accuracy whilst working to deadlines.
  • Be a well-organised and able to multitask, learning to prioritise and adapt as the workload changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and selection, employee relations and performance management.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to staff, including advice on policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date HR records and databases.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working administratively in an HR area.
  • Ability to demonstrate both factual and theoretical knowledge of HR, including working with multiple processes and to tight regulations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with highly confidential information.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office.
