Reception Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Greenford. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.

Requirements:
