We are in search of a seasoned Senior Buyer to become a vital part of our Direct Procurement Team at Williams Racing. This position entails overseeing the acquisition of essential goods and services for our Formula 1 car, ensuring precise communication of engineering specifications and purchase authorizations. As a Senior Buyer, you will be instrumental in achieving optimal procurement value within established time, cost, and quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire components specific to various car regions.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders, monitor deliveries, and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders.
- Oversee a supplier portfolio with a focus on both tactical and strategic elements.
- Enhance value delivery to the racing team.
- Negotiate supplier agreements to secure the best business outcomes.
- Develop and refine the supply base.
- Offer procurement leadership to internal stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Strong technical foundation with the capability to interpret technical drawings.
- Experience in a dynamic Engineering or Manufacturing setting.
- Self-driven, innovative, and able to meet deadlines autonomously.
- Proficient time management and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft D365 ERP system is advantageous.
