About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality SLT packages of care to children in our Mainstream and Complex Needs caseloads across a range of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for school-aged children with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based packages of care
  • Support the management of paediatric dysphagia and provide training to parents and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development of clinical projects and practice within the SLT service
  • Supervise newly and recently graduated SLTs and unregistered staff and volunteers carrying out SLT-related activities
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
  • Health Professions Council License to Practice
  • Recent experience in working with school-aged children including complex needs
  • Experience of carrying out assessments and therapy within a multidisciplinary context
  • Working knowledge of the mainstream and/or special education system
