We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality SLT packages of care to children in our Mainstream and Complex Needs caseloads across a range of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop treatment plans for school-aged children with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based packages of care
- Support the management of paediatric dysphagia and provide training to parents and other professionals
- Contribute to the development of clinical projects and practice within the SLT service
- Supervise newly and recently graduated SLTs and unregistered staff and volunteers carrying out SLT-related activities
- Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council License to Practice
- Recent experience in working with school-aged children including complex needs
- Experience of carrying out assessments and therapy within a multidisciplinary context
- Working knowledge of the mainstream and/or special education system
- A dynamic and innovative team of therapists and therapy assistants
- Opportunities for continuing professional development and training
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the workplace
