Job Description

Seth Homes Limited T/As Stoneacre Lodge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Encourage Independence: Support residents in maintaining their independence and self-respect by offering choices and promoting autonomy.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, to ensure residents' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Mealtime Support: Assist residents with mealtime, including serving, cleaning, and washing dishes, to promote a safe and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Toilet Assistance: Provide assistance with toileting, including taking residents to and from the toilet, and helping with commodes and bedpans as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and tidy environment by making beds, changing sheets, and washing pillows and mattresses as required.
  • Medication and Treatment: Administer medication and treatment as prescribed by the doctor or Home Manager, including the insertion of suppositories.
  • Social Activities: Assist in arranging social activities and encourage participation from all residents to promote a sense of community and well-being.
  • Reporting and Communication: Observe and report on residents' behavior, and communicate effectively with the Home Manager and other staff members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrate a genuine care and concern for the well-being of residents.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of residents and the care home.
