Job Overview

DiverseJobsMatter is seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in keeping our staff informed, happy, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy to engage and inform employees across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and disseminate company-wide communications, including regular all-hands meetings, staff digest emails, and office engagement activities.
  • Design and implement initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention, including employee recognition programs and team-building activities.
  • Manage and maintain our staff intranet, ensuring it is a valuable resource for employees.
  • Work closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to develop and implement CSR initiatives and enhance community impact.
  • Develop and manage DEI programming, including internal ERG programs.
  • Coordinate and organize company-wide events and communications, collaborating with the Office Manager.
  • Provide support to the HR team on new staff inductions and other HR-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in internal communications and/or engagement, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Outlook, and online tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and understand the importance of stakeholder advocacy, engagement, and approvals.
  • Passion for CSR and DEI, with experience managing related programs.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
