Job Overview

We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a junior legal professional to become part of a vibrant in-house commercial property division. Our proactive Property Acquisitions, Disposals, and Leases team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is seeking a full-time solicitor, legal executive, or barrister to deliver a comprehensive range of commercial property counsel to various NHS entities.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will operate under supervision to furnish commercial property legal guidance and support to NHS organizations across Wales.

Your advisory role will encompass a variety of tasks, including legal updates, addressing general inquiries, managing occupational leases, and overseeing substantial development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in providing counsel on diverse commercial property issues and a strong desire to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Law Degree & Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (or equivalent)
  • Qualified lawyer status as one of the following: - Solicitor admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales - Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) with relevant civil litigation qualifications - Barrister admitted to the bar in England and Wales
  • Relevant legal expertise

Desirable

  • Background in NHS/public sector

Experience

Essential

  • Experience gained through a training contract in commercial property law

Desirable

  • Post-qualification experience in advising on commercial property matters
  • NHS or public sector experience
  • Experience presenting to non-legal personnel
  • Proficiency in drafting documents and providing client advice
  • Knowledge of property litigation
