IT Excellence Operations Manager
We are seeking an IT Excellence Operations Manager to become a vital part of our Group IT Team. This position is essential for ensuring the effective functioning of our IT operations. The focus will encompass various key areas, including audit coordination, training facilitation, performance reporting leadership, and the implementation of IT governance and controls.
Location: Flexible, hybrid working arrangements available.
Contract: Permanent, full-time positions available, with consideration for part-time options.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Excellence Operations Manager, your daily tasks will include:
- Facilitating the daily provision of general accounting services to align with business requirements.
- Collaborating with Business Assurance, Internal and External Audit teams to coordinate IT responses and resource allocation for the annual audit cycle.
- Overseeing and updating a strategic plan for the IT Leadership group, ensuring minimal disruption to IT operations.
- Maintaining a comprehensive register and tracker of IT training initiatives and associated expenditures, providing regular updates to the IT Management Team.
- Coordinating all international travel arrangements for Kier's IT outsourcing partner, including flights, accommodations, and local transportation.
- Leading the Performance Reporting Team to guarantee that IT service reporting and assurance remain pertinent to both the IT team and the broader business.
- Reviewing and enhancing governance and controls within the IT department, implementing recommended areas for improvement.
Candidate Profile

- Experience in a similar capacity, working closely with senior stakeholders.
- A background in developing and implementing governance and controls with a focus on process enhancement.
- The ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
