Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates, a leading independent fostering agency within the Polaris Community.
As a Senior/Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Key Responsibilities- Support foster parents to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Provide regular supervision to foster parents, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Work in partnership with foster parents, other professionals, and the child's network to identify needs and develop plans to support the child's development.
- Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with commissioning teams as required.
- Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and access to resources and opportunities in their local community.
- A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in stressful situations.
- A full driving licence and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
