Specialty Doctor in Elderly Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Care of the Elderly service at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-focused care to our elderly patients.
Main Responsibilities- Support the medical care on the elderly care wards or in the orthogeriatric service as required.
- Deliver holistic geriatric assessments to improve patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, and service developments.
- Assist with outpatient clinics as required.
- Attend unit management and governance meetings.
- Support the implementation and achievement of targets set by the NHS long-term plan and NHS England regarding older people's care and frailty care.
- Work with colleagues to ensure effective management of inpatients, internal referrals, outpatient clinics, and investigational sessions.
- Collaborate with primary care colleagues to ensure effective management of community patients.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, doctors, and professions allied to medicine, including those in primary care.
- Medical degree (MRCP or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration
- Any additional postgraduate examination in care of the elderly or general medicine
- Postgraduate teaching qualification
NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working to UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service, will be appointed to the minimum paypoint.

If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years, you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
