About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Specialty Doctor to join our friendly Paediatric Department at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our patients across our integrated acute service.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and challenging mix of paediatric and neonatal patients, including those on the Special Care Baby Unit, Postnatal Ward, and general Paediatric Ward. You will also be involved in reviewing patients attending outpatient appointments, ad hoc reviews, and supporting specialist clinics.

As a Paediatric Specialty Doctor, you will be expected to provide advanced paediatric life support and neonatal life support, as well as liaise effectively with other departments, specialties, and hospitals to obtain required tests and opinions and to make referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to patients across our integrated acute service
  • Work with a diverse and challenging mix of paediatric and neonatal patients
  • Review patients attending outpatient appointments and ad hoc reviews
  • Support specialist clinics
  • Provide advanced paediatric life support and neonatal life support
  • Liaise effectively with other departments, specialties, and hospitals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in paediatrics, with experience in delivering high-quality care to patients. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
