Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage with women in secure and psychiatric care settings, addressing their mental health needs and personality disorders.

As a Psychological Support Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in psychological evaluations and treatment planning
  • Facilitating therapeutic interventions, both individually and in groups, while monitoring their effectiveness
  • Supporting the development and delivery of specialized training for staff
  • Contributing to reflective practice sessions for team members
  • Maintaining clinical records and databases
  • Completing assessments and outcome measures
  • Preparing reports for various stakeholders
  • Conducting service evaluations and research tasks, including data collection and analysis

Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology, qualifying for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a mental health or forensic setting
  • Proficiency in office management and administrative tasks
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Adherence to professional standards, including HCPC and BPS ethical guidelines
