Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage with women in secure and psychiatric care settings, addressing their mental health needs and personality disorders.
As a Psychological Support Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in psychological evaluations and treatment planning
- Facilitating therapeutic interventions, both individually and in groups, while monitoring their effectiveness
- Supporting the development and delivery of specialized training for staff
- Contributing to reflective practice sessions for team members
- Maintaining clinical records and databases
- Completing assessments and outcome measures
- Preparing reports for various stakeholders
- Conducting service evaluations and research tasks, including data collection and analysis
- Participating in clinically relevant audits
Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- A minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology, qualifying for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a mental health or forensic setting
- Proficiency in office management and administrative tasks
- Creative problem-solving skills and a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic practices
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Adherence to professional standards, including HCPC and BPS ethical guidelines
