External Verifier and Certification Decision Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an External Verifier and Certification Decision Maker. As a key member of our certification team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our certification processes and ensuring compliance with our company and scheme requirements.
About the Role:
- As an External Verifier, you will be responsible for conducting certification and external verification processes for third-party centres, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with our company and scheme requirements.
- You will work closely with our business activities team to support the development and implementation of certification schemes and processes.
- As a Certification Decision Maker, you will be responsible for making informed decisions regarding certification and external verification processes, ensuring that all decisions are fair, consistent, and in line with our company and scheme requirements.
- You will work independently with minimal supervision, using your expertise and judgment to resolve complex issues and make decisions.
Requirements:
- Industry experience and practice, holding relevant Assessor qualifications (D32/33/34 or equivalent) and specific competence qualifications as required by our schemes.
- Strong technical knowledge and qualifications related to personnel schemes for gas, oil, and electrical installations, alongside a thorough understanding of the relevant legislation, standards, and Health & Safety requirements.
- A deep familiarity with the ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) and GCS (Group Competency Scheme) is essential, as is the ability to interpret technical literature effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must, along with a proven ability to solve problems, make informed decisions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Someone who excels in customer service, able to recognise and respond to the needs of our customers while building credible relationships at all levels.
