Your Role: Shaping the Future of Banking

As a Strategic Programmes Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in defining the future state architecture vision and strategies for our Global Businesses and Global Functions. You'll be responsible for developing business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to manage processes, systems, and technology complexity across the HSBC Group.

Collaboration is Key

You'll work closely with business partners to translate their requirements into integrated solutions that can be deployed globally using consistent service patterns. This ensures ease of deployment, support, and enhancement.

Reporting Structure & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Programmes - Technology, you will provide project management expertise across a group-level technology architecture function. You'll lead a team of strategic change delivery experts to ensure architectural alignment of the portfolio of strategic programmes related to strategic Integration and Separation. This includes any group merger, acquisition, and/or divestment activities.

Your Impact:

  • Manage and oversee the Strategic Programmes book of work across these projects, providing insight and governance on behalf of the Head of Strategic Programmes IT.
  • Ensure the strategic programme team capability is sufficiently staffed with appropriate expertise to meet the demands of the project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme/Project Set Up and Closure: Provide support to project set up and closure activities, including documentation and reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality outcomes.
