About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our client's team as an Impairment and Provisioning Expert. The role will focus on IFRS9, working closely with the Provisions and Forecasting team to ensure the effective governance of models and maintenance of impairment models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve impairment models and provisioning processes
  • Collaborate with the model development team to ensure accurate and reliable models
  • Conduct thorough assessments of provisioning and month-end processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Drive improvements across the bank, focusing on capital assessments and provisioning

Requirements

  • Proven experience in consumer lending, with a strong understanding of IFRS9 models
  • Proficiency in SAS, with experience in data analysis and modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive improvements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
