Control Systems Technician

We are seeking a dedicated ICA Technician to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including mandatory certifications and reactive repairs on malfunctioning equipment.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside various operational units such as mechanical and electrical technicians.
- Install, modify, and commission new equipment according to industry standards, while diagnosing and rectifying faults in systems and plants.
- Investigate plant malfunctions and implement repairs swiftly and effectively.
- Provide expert technical guidance as needed, utilizing current technical knowledge.
- Proficient in PLCs, SCADA systems, and communication networks, as well as instrumentation including flow, level, and pressure measurement.
- Experience with variable speed drives (VSDs) and various motor/pump starting methods.
- Preferably qualified to HNC level or possess City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in instrumentation, control, and automation.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification and knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems are advantageous.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and maintain physical fitness, with successful completion of necessary training.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
