Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Instrumentation and Control Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency of our systems and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to equipment malfunctions to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, working alongside mechanical, electrical, and operational technicians.
  • Install, modify, and commission new equipment while adhering to industry standards, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective repairs.
  • Investigate system failures and execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Provide expert technical guidance, leveraging current knowledge in instrumentation and control systems.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficient in PLCs, SCADA systems, and various communication networks, along with instrumentation knowledge including flow, level, and pressure.
  • Experience with variable speed drives and various motor/pump starting methods.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HNC or City and Guilds Part 2/NVQ Level 3 in instrumentation, control, and automation.
  • Possession of 18th Edition (BS7671) certification and knowledge of three-phase electrical systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, demonstrating physical fitness and completing necessary training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
