Job Overview

Watershed is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and representation to our clients in employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and expand our employment law services, building strong relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • Represent clients in employment tribunals and appeals, utilizing your advocacy skills to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Work closely with clients to transform their businesses, advising on complex collective redundancies, collective bargaining, and large-scale changes to terms and conditions.
  • Manage client projects and handle day-to-day employment matters, providing innovative solutions and ideas to drive business growth.
  • Build and sustain relationships with clients, developing new accounts and providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in employment law, with a track record of working with large private sector businesses.
  • 5+ years' post-qualified experience in a fees-based professional firm.
  • Solid technical competence in employment law, with the ability to advise senior managers within large organizations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with demanding clients.
  • Commercially astute, with a strong desire to build long-term relationships and drive business growth.
