An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Older Persons Independent Living Service for the recruitment of a Neighbourhood Officer.
The successful candidate will become a vital member of our dedicated team, responsible for a variety of housing-related tasks while providing a responsive service to a diverse and expanding client base across multiple schemes throughout the city.
Flexibility is essential, as the role may require some out-of-hours work depending on the needs of the schemes.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage their own workload effectively while also being a collaborative team player.
A solid understanding of IT systems, knowledge of housing practices, and awareness of the needs of older individuals and vulnerable adults are crucial for this position.
Our Independent Living schemes focus on reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation, and we expect our Neighbourhood Officers to actively support and facilitate regular activities that promote community engagement.
In this rewarding role, we anticipate the successful candidate will implement a truly person-centered approach to housing management and support. By collaborating with various services, the candidate will assist older and more vulnerable adults in maintaining their tenancies within designated schemes or areas.
Customer care, effective signposting, and collaborative efforts are fundamental aspects of this role. Understanding and maintaining professional boundaries with tenants is essential. A full clean driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
