We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Pharmacist Education Specialist at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Main Responsibilities- Work closely with Consultant Histopathologists and Biomedical Scientists to provide accurate diagnoses of specimens, improving patient care and contributing to their welfare.
- Deliver a timely Histology service, carrying out routine tasks that do not require specialist skills or training of a Biomedical Scientist.
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tasks, from receiving and processing tissue samples to preparing for diagnosis and reporting.
- Participate in all aspects of the departmental rota, including technical and clerical laboratory duties.
- Education to HNC/HND Diploma level or equivalent.
- Scientific background and IT skills.
- Desirable: Any science-related qualification, especially Biomedical Science, and previous Histology experience.
