M&D Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our Specialist Support Service. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team providing high-quality care in a supportive residential setting.

Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker plays a vital role in leading and mentoring the staff team. You will champion person-centered care principles, ensuring our team delivers outstanding support to individuals with mental health conditions, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and support to vulnerable individuals.
  • Lead and motivate the staff team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to person-centered care principles, promoting individual choice and autonomy.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Your Qualifications and Experience:

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality care for vulnerable individuals.
  • Proven experience working in a care setting, with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • A QCF Level 2 qualification, and be actively pursuing a QCF Level 3 qualification.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
