About the Role

M&D Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our Specialist Support Service in a Residential setting. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in leading the staff team and providing person-centered care to individuals with mental health, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the staff team in providing high-quality care and support to service users.
  • Advocate for service users and ensure their needs are met.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the Registered Manager and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent care.

Requirements

  • QCF Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Working towards a QCF Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven experience in care, with a minimum of 1 year.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
