Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location: South East region with significant travel across the South and Home Counties.

About the Role
Churchill Estates Management is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to conduct comprehensive external and internal assessments of properties within our retirement development portfolio. The Building Surveyor will be responsible for delivering precise and dependable stock condition information, which is vital for maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards. This role will also contribute to future asset management strategies and maintenance planning, including Section 20 major works consultations, ensuring our Homeowners enjoy superior retirement living conditions.
As a member of the Property Services team, the Building Surveyor will report to the Property Services Manager located in Ringwood, Hampshire, necessitating occasional visits to our Head Office. Key stakeholders include Homeowners, Health & Safety Executive representatives, Lodge Managers, and various management teams.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess an HNC or degree in a relevant construction or property discipline. You may hold or be pursuing a professional qualification such as RICS, CIOB, or ABE, and must be a current CSCS card holder.
Experience in the construction or property management sector is essential, along with a solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations, Building Codes, Fire Safety protocols, and Asbestos Awareness.
The successful applicant will exhibit outstanding communication abilities, engaging effectively with contractors, clients, Homeowners, and internal teams. Strong organizational skills, proficiency in IT (including MS Excel), and a proactive work ethic are crucial. You should thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a positive attitude.
