About the Role

Hays Accountancy and Finance is recruiting a qualified Commercial Financial Manager to join a highly regarded global retail chain. This client is looking for an experienced Commercial Financial Manager with strong analytical skills and commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
  • Oversee supplier income reporting, month-end accounting, forecasting, and budgeting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and evaluate vendor agreements (VBAs) and accounting treatments to ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Provide insightful analysis and reporting to inform business decisions, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of category margins, including volume, rate, and mix analysis.
  • Evaluate the success of ongoing trials and projects, proposing recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with commercial industry experience, preferably in retail or FMCG. You will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
