Company Description
Home Instead is a leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With a focus on building strong relationships with clients, we match our care professionals to clients based on mutual interests and hobbies. Our award-winning training and excellent reputation make us proud of the quality of care we provide.
Job Description
We're looking for people with the personality and passion to build great relationships with our clients. Our clients trust us, and we rely on you to listen carefully to what they need, take an interest in them, and deliver excellent care. If you enjoy interacting with older individuals and want to make a difference in their lives, caregiving might be the career for you.
The central part of a care professional role with Home Instead is offering companionship and conversation. Each of our care professionals is matched to a client based on mutual interests and hobbies to encourage a strong relationship to develop. We believe you need this understanding and bond to be able to care for someone as if they were a member of your own family.
Our service is companionship-led, and a considerable responsibility of a care professional is to stimulate and encourage the client through a range of different activities that sustain or improve their quality of life. A care professional's responsibilities can also include accompanying clients to appointments and social events, light housekeeping, planning and preparing meals, and helping with daily living routines, including assisting with personal care.
We are looking for friendly, kind, compassionate people who like to spend time with older people and build a friendly but professional relationship. You don't need any experience or particular qualifications to become a care professional, but it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people.
Additional Information
- Award-winning training
- Excellent rates of pay - £11.00 per hour, double on bank holidays
- Travel allowance for any driving between clients plus mileage
- Full learning, development, and support
- Personalized working patterns, including alternate weekends
