About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Designer to join our dynamic team at Brandon James, a leading construction and design consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Principal Designer function on a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and mitigating risks throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate health and safety standards into the design process.
  • Assist with the development of design risk registers and provide expert guidance on CDM compliance.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure their duties under CDM 2015 regulations are fully understood and fulfilled.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Principal Designer role, with a background in construction, architecture, or engineering.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
  • Membership with a professional body such as IOSH or APS.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
