We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at People Solutions Group Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Management: Conduct daily checks on all fleet vehicles, including rental vehicles, to ensure they are in good working condition and record the checks via the Vehicle App.
  • Weight Checks: Verify that all 3.5 Tonne Vans vehicles do not exceed 3.5 Tonnes in weight using the weighbridge.
  • Fleet Ambassador: Identify and report any damage or defects on vehicles, including VOR (vehicle off road) vehicles.
  • Equipment Checks: Inspect all associated vehicle equipment, including material handling equipment, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosures.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the site adheres to health and safety rules, including clear traffic flow and effective parking.
  • Driver Compliance: Verify that all drivers have the correct uniform at all times and that vans are maintained to company standards.
  • Weekly Checks: Conduct a weekly review of outstanding 21-day notice letters with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager.
  • Fleet Stock Management: Check and reorder fleet stock, including mirror glasses, lamps, and bulbs.
  • Gritter Maintenance: Ensure the gritter is in full working order and clean during the winter period.
Essential Skills
  • Attention to Detail: You will be someone who takes pride in their work, consistently producing high-quality results.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, listening, and problem-resolution skills are essential in this role.
  • Organizational Skills: Good planning and organizing skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to cope with change and handle difficult situations and challenging conversations.
  • Independence: Able to work independently and without close supervision.
Desirable Experience
  • Driving License: Full UK Category B Driving Licence is desirable.
Training and Development
  • On-the-Job Training: Full in-house training on all systems will be provided.
