Job Title: National Transport Manager

We are seeking an experienced National Transport Manager to oversee transportation operations across the group, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role provides an excellent opportunity to manage the company's fleet while leading improvements in all aspects of transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with legal standards
  • Maintain safety protocols and effectively manage budgets
  • Oversee driver performance and implement initiatives to reduce insurance claims
  • Take charge of all transport operations, including route planning and the efficient allocation of driver resources
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules, ensuring operational consistency
  • Enforce health and safety procedures, with a focus on ensuring compliance and implementing safety improvements
Requirements:
  • Experience in a transport management role, ideally with depot or warehouse management experience
  • Familiarity with FORS Bronze and Silver requirements
  • Experience handling heavy goods or equipment is desirable
  • Management CPC qualification is mandatory

This role requires a strong leader who is innovative and forward-thinking, capable of managing and developing teams while maintaining high operational standards.
