Position Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. This role is ideal for a Commis Chef looking to advance their career in a dynamic environment.

This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week, with additional paid overtime for events.

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work within a fast-paced and collaborative team, where you will continuously learn and develop your skills. You will also have the opportunity to enroll in our Level 3 Chef Apprenticeship program if desired.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your area of expertise.
  • Support and mentor Commis Chefs within the team.
  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in creating new dishes and menus.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health and safety.
