About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Domestic Support Assistant at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality domestic services to patients, staff, and visitors across our premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and efficient domestic services, adhering to NHS Lanarkshire and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Support new staff members in their working environment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and induction to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
  • Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, including risk assessments and participation in PaMOVA training.
  • Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards.
  • Develop effective written and verbal communication skills to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Carry out assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Utilize basic information technology skills to support daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic information technology skills.
