Outreach Tutor

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor to provide one-to-one support to children with complex needs in Portsmouth.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with County Councils and Schools to deliver tailored support to children waiting for school placements. This will involve mentoring and building relationships with young learners, with a focus on core subjects.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one support to children with complex needs
- Mentor and build relationships with young learners
- Work closely with County Councils and Schools to deliver tailored support
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working with children with complex needs, including SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies
- Ability to work face-to-face within the community
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes
- QTS status or equivalent, or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
