About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dynamic Simulation Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group - IT. As a key member of our dynamic process simulation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work under the supervision of one of our lead engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver dynamic process simulation studies with minimal supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct a wide range of work, including assessment of compressor anti-surge control, process control systems liquid surge, HIPPS response, heat exchanger tube rupture using various dynamic process simulation tools.
  • Present work to clients through reports and presentations.
  • Prepare technical notes, reports, and client presentations.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality deliverables, adhering to relevant codes and standards, and internal procedures.
  • Understand client requirements and contribute to winning bids for work.
  • Oversee junior engineers under your supervision who are running process simulations, analyzing results, and preparing reports.
  • Supervise and develop junior engineers.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree, honors or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Hold Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent, or be close to attaining this chartership.
  • Experience using HYSYS Dynamics and/or Unisim Dynamics, as well as PipeNet and/or Wanda or similar liquid surge (waterhammer) programs.
  • Proficiency in software coding with VB.Net/VBA.
  • Strong team player with adaptability to new and changing environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition projects.
  • A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
  • The ability to work in the United Kingdom.
