The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Senior Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organisation's governance, risk management and compliance function activities. This role involves collaborating with GRC managers to identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and developing and implementing policies and procedures to safeguard the organisation's information assets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyse potential impacts on the organisation.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, monitoring their effectiveness and making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a comprehensive risk register and track risk mitigation activities to completion.
- Ensure adherence to relevant internal and external regulations, including corporate rules, standards, PCI, Cyber Essentials, and other relevant frameworks.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate compliance reviews and audits.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform control testing activities in accordance with established testing schedules and methodologies.
- Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct walkthroughs and gather evidence to support control testing conclusions.
- Document control testing procedures, results, and findings, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to information security, information technology, and risk management, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on governance, risk, and compliance matters, promoting a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
- Monitor and report on compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure an integrated approach to risk management, control management, and compliance, fostering a culture of collaboration and cooperation.
- Communicate risk and compliance issues to senior management and relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
- Provide regular reports on the status of risk management and compliance efforts, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Stay current with industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and excellence in GRC.
Recommend and implement improvements to GRC processes and tools, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
RequirementsExperience:
- Significant experience in GRC, information security, risk management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field, with advanced degree preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
