## Job Title: Microbiology Speciality Doctor

## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiology Speciality Doctor to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our Microbiology department, you will play a vital role in supporting our consultants in the busy microbiology laboratory with an active clinical liaison and infection control workload.

## Key Responsibilities

* Support consultants in the microbiology laboratory with clinical liaison and infection control workload
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
* Develop and implement infection control strategies to prevent the spread of infections
* Participate in educational activities to enhance the skills of junior staff

## Requirements

* Full GMC registration with a license to practice
* Primary medical qualification (e.g., MBChB / MBBS)
* FRCPath part 1 microbiology or equivalent
* Further qualification such as MRCP or equivalent
* Teaching experience and enthusiasm for service development
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility
